I will start by saying that the staff were very attentive and kind, and the hotel is located central and close to most things in Nantes. However, there are some hygienic and functional concerns about the room. The shower features an open design without a door to capture the water, and the shower head faces the open hole. I tried to move the shower head, but it swings back, meaning my entire bathroom flooded from a single shower. In addition, there were multiple pieces of other people’s hair on the bathroom walls upon arrival. I did not feel comfortable showering without shoes.

While the rest of the room appeared fine, when small unhygienic experiences like this occur, the integrity between a guest and the hotel is eroded. It becomes difficult to trust if the rest of the room is cleanly. I also ignored some of the tough reviews in hopes they were being overdramatic, but an issue of hygiene and functionality really shouldn’t be overlooked.
