Famous for hosting the Hellfest metal festival, Clisson is a Petite Cité de Caractère full of charm, with its Italian-influenced architecture.
A visit to the Château de Clisson is a must: this ancient fortified castle, built in the 11th century, has preserved many of its medieval features.
From the top of the ramparts, you can enjoy a lovely view over the ochre roofs of Clisson and the Sèvre Nantaise.
Take a look at the Temple de l'Amitié, an ancient architectural monument built between 1812 and 1814.
Romantic visitors will want to visit the Domaine de la Garenne Lemot and its 13-hectare park full of surprises: rocks, grotto, pergolas and views over the Sèvre and Clisson castle.
