The Festival Aux Heures d'été launches its 19th edition in 2023. In the four corners of the city of Nantes, from parks to squares, this event makes world culture accessible to as many people as possible, thanks to a varied programme that's 100% free.
Every year, it's a popular rendez-vous for locals and visitors alike. Summer in Nantes promises to be musical and cultural!
The 2023 festival programme at a glance
From 4 July to 4 August 2023, the Festival Aux Heures d'Été offers visitors some thirty eclectic concerts, open-air cinema screenings (including European short films) and a host of shows for children, including storytelling and musical readings.
On the music front, you'll be able to applaud - among others! - the Korean percussion trio Groove&, the Czech jazz of Invisible World and the Nantes Opera Choir. In all, nearly 80 artists. It's the perfect opportunity to (re)-discover the city of Nantes, as well as new talent!
The Festival Aux Heures d'Été in practice
First of all, the Festival Aux Heures d'Été is completely free.All the festival venues (Jardin des Plantes, Château des Ducs de Bretagne, Val de Chézine, etc.) are accessible by tram or bus from Nantes city centre. Refreshments and snacks will be available on concert evenings.
