La Folle Journée Festival in Nantes 2026

Every year, La Folle Journée de Nantes (The Crazy Day of Nantes) brings the city to life with its unique classical music festival.

On this occasion, nearly 2,000 artists are welcomed to the Nantes Convention Centre.

The 32nd edition will take place from January 28 to February 1, 2026, with the theme of "Rivers," and promises another weekend rich in emotion!

La Folle Journée de Nantes 2026: A musical journey along the rivers

A festival in the heart of Nantes

Held at the Nantes Convention Centre, the festival attracts thousands of curious visitors each year, from seasoned music lovers to newcomers from all over the world.

Its ambition? To offer nearly 270 short concerts at affordable prices, in a friendly atmosphere, far removed from the elitism sometimes associated with classical music.

A fluid and abundant program

Under the poetic and symbolic theme of rivers, the 2026 edition explores the real and imagined waterways that have inspired composers such as Strauss, Smetana, and Schumann.
From the Danube to the Volga, from the Nile to the Mississippi, the works evoke the intersections of cultures and the movements of history.

The program honors great names like Debussy, Ravel, and Gershwin, while also giving ample space to contemporary creation, young talents, and ensembles from all corners of the world.
