Discovering the archaeological site of Rezé
Only a few kilometres separate the Le Chronographe museum in Rezé from the hotel where you are staying in Nantes.

The museum and its exhibitions
Discover Ratiatum in an immersive experience that is fun for both young and old. Take a trip back to the Gallo-Roman era and experience the daily life of the inhabitants. Like an archaeologist, investigate the work of the researchers to help them move forward.
The adjoining archaeological site
The museum did not set up here by chance. Between the 1st and 3rd centuries, you could see the largest warehouse in the port district. It was thanks to Dubuisson-Aubenay, writer and traveller, that the world discovered the existence of Ratiatum. Scientists then followed one another to discover what was hidden under the site.
Today, a research and development project for the area has been launched. Thousands of students and specialists are on site to further the research.

The site is open to all.

Take part in the site's workshops
Give your children a unique experience during the school holidays. Make them aware of archaeology thanks to the workshops offered by the Nantes archaeological interpretation centre. Adults can also take part in pre-designed workshops.
All your senses will be used to understand and analyse the data found.
To access these workshops, don't forget to book directly by telephone or to come to the workshop on the day.
The price varies between €2.5 and €6, while the duration of the activity varies according to the age of the participants.
