One of the most important carnivals in France
The Nantes carnival has undergone many changes over the years. Indeed, it is a very old carnival that has known several forms such as masquerades or masked balls. All these carnivals have marked the history of Nantes.
A tour in the heart of the city centre
This year, the daytime parade will begin with the Cours Saint-André, then pass through Place Saint-Pierre, the cours des 50 otages, Place de Port Communeau and finally return to the Cours Saint-André. We recommend that you go to the 50 Otages Cours, which is only a 10-minute walk from the Graslin Hotel, to attend the daytime parade.
The night parade on Saturday, April 4, 2020 will follow the same itinerary.
The Children's Carnival
It will take place this year on Wednesday 1st April 2020 from 2 to 5 pm on the Cours Saint-André. Many activities will be proposed: make-up, stories, inflatable structures... and a musical snack will be offered to the participating children.
For this 73ᵉ edition, the Nantes Carnival will be placed under the sign of Humour!
